Dr. Acharya’s research focuses on the design and implementation of epidemiological studies to determine risk factors impacting clinical outcomes in ocular inflammatory disease, and clinical trials to determine the optimal treatment for these conditions. Current projects include epidemiological studies on immunosuppressive therapies, juvenile idiopathic arthritis-associated uveitis, sarcoidosis, smoking and uveitis, and clinical trials on corneal ulcers and uveitis.
